At the first of June we went to Moab with our good friends, the Button's. They have 3 kids just about the same age as our kids. We had a blast biking, hiking, swimming, and being together. We had a not so fun time swatting at the biting gnats that must have just hatched that week. They were HORRIBLE to say the least, but as long as we were on the move they would leave us alone. All in all we had a great get-a-way!
Picture at Gemini Bridges!
Playing in camp, getting super dirty!
Oh Boy!
Fun friends!
Going on a 4-wheeler ride to some lesser known arches!
More dirt!
Camille, Garet, and Jared biked down the old highway into Moab on our last day, and Camille crashed! It was pretty bad, but she is still a bikin' girl!
The happy, and not-so-happy bike riders.
We've always wanted to stop at the sand hill right off the highway, just as you pass the entrance to Arches, but have always found a million reasons not too.....so this time we stopped. It was super hot, but Garet managed to climb a little ways.
A couple days after we got home from Moab, Garet's eye swelled up really big. He got some kind of bite on his eye lid and that must have set it off. It was swollen for a couple days and then went away all by itself! Who knows?
A couple weeks later we went to the Cable Family Nat-Soo-Pah trip! The weather was pretty chilly, so one of the days we took a drive over to Shoshone Falls. They are spectacular!
Playing with cousins is the best.
The place we camp is mostly grassy, but of course the kids find the tiniest bit of dirt to play in.
On Father's Day Sunday we had Stake Conference at the Ogden Tabernacle, so we took advantage of the beautiful day and took some pictures.
Annual 4th of July Starvation Trip
Every year we had to Starvation, which is right by Duchesne, for the Taylor family trip. Camille was determined that she was going to learn to water-ski this year. So, Grandpa broke out the little skies, and off she went for about 3 seconds. That was all it took and she was done.....until next year, maybe. What a brave girl:)
Garet and Mason loved riding on the wave runner with anyone who would take them!
Both of Jared's uncle's have sail boats, so I gave it a try this year. Grandpa took me out and showed me the ropes and then let me take over for a little while. Everything was going fine until a big gust came up and whoosh......we tipped over! Good thing he is an expert and got us tipped back up right! It was fun! I think I'll try again next time.
Cute cousin Hazel. She LOVED playing in the mud and water.
The kids were on a mission to build a waterfall.
More mud ducks!
Garet was brave enough to ride lightning by himself this time! Go Garet!
