School Days

Camille and Garet started 3rd and 1st grade on Wednesday!!  Hooray for school again.  Summer is such a nice break and so fun, but it is nice to get back to a routine again:)  They both wanted Daddy to take them to school on the first day.  Garet didn't even seem nervous.  He was all smiles when he came home and gets really excited every morning when it's time to go again!  Camille is loving her new teacher and has already learned a really fun card trick to stump all of us!

Now the count down is really on for baby Paige.  I only have 8 weeks until my due date, which means 8 weeks of having 2 kids at home during the day!  I plan to enjoy every last minute of it.

Garet moved downstairs to his new room and Dallin moved to Mason's room (still in a crib) and I was able to paint the babies room and start getting it ready.  (I did all of this while the kids and Jared were in the Uinta's).  I loved my free time while Dallin was napping:)

Another Uinta Trip down in the books

Jared took Camille, Garet, and Mason up in the Uinta's with the horses last week!  Terra and Nate and their three girls, Jason and Melissa and Hazel, and Grandpa all made the journey.  Grandma stayed home with Evelyn and Luke and I stayed home with Dallin.

Summer Randomness

What do you do on a Sunday evening?  Well you pull out the drills of course.  The kids found Mason's old drill and had to give it to Dallin.  Dallin thought he was one of the big boys!  

 For FHE one night we talked about temples and built our very own rendition out of sugar cubes!  And....of course they got to eat a couple when we were all done:)

 Daddy taking care of our beehives.  We have three hives this year, so hopefully we'll get some good honey in a month or so.

 Garet and Mason wanted to join in on the fun, so Jared made them a little net, but that only lasted about 10 minutes or so.  They were on to bigger and better things!

 We've had a bumper crop of corn this year!!  We've had corn everyday for at least 2 weeks straight.  Sooooo yummy!  There is nothing like fresh corn.

 One night I looked out the window and my heart was soooooo happy!  My sweet honey and 4 children were all hard at work shucking corn; even Dallin was helping.  The kids have proved to be great garden helpers this year.  We've frozen a lot of corn, which requires a lot of shucking and they have helped with all of it.  Camille and Garet have even been picking the beans for me this year (picking beans, being 7 months pregnant, and 95 degree weather just do not go well together). We are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel when our kids are actually old enough to contribute to the work instead of create more work.  Hooray!

 Oh, summer time goodness!

 I was taking a nap one Sunday afternoon and Garet was telling Mason stories about Jesus.  It was the sweetest thing you've ever heard.  They put me right to sleep!
