Moab - There we went!!

Last weekend we went to Moab with our friends, Dave and Robyn Button.  They lived in our ward in Clinton and then we both built houses in Hooper and happened to move right down the street from one another!!  They like doing the same kinds of things we enjoy, so we had a great time together.  We left the kids HOME, which made it even more enjoyable:)  My sister Kaydi was home for Spring Break, so she came and tended our kids for a night and then they went to Grandma's house for a night.  They had a great time with Aunt Kaydi!  And just a side note....Dallin didn't even notice I was gone!!  Out of sight, out of mind.
We left Thursday night and camped at Bartlett's wash, one of our favorite spots.  The next morning we headed over to Mill Canyon bike trail (Monitor and Merrimac) and met two of Jared's work friends for the ride.  It was a great ride, minus the sand, but the slick rock was really fun and the view was amazing.

 A sweet balanced rock.

Our camp.  It has these sweet trees that grow back into the ground.
I didn't take very many pictures, but we did bike slick rock on Friday afternoon.  We were beat that night!!  Saturday morning we biked Bartlett's wash and then stopped at Sego Canyon (ghost town) and headed home.  We had such an awesome time and were ready to see the kids again.

Trains....Birthdays...and Kings & Queens

Jared took 3 of his scouts to the Union Station last Saturday for the railroad merit badge.  They were having some kind of model train convention.  Anyway, I took the kids and met Jared after the merit badge class and we walked through the museum and saw all kinds of neat model trains.  Afterwards, the kids and scouts rode on this little train they had set up outside.

Then the scouts wanted to go check out the big trains.

Garet's b-day is this Saturday, so we had a little family party with the Cable's on Sunday.  Garet wanted a motocycle cake, so this is my amateur version:)
Cousin Scarlett's b-day is this week too, so she has a cute pink ruffle cake!  My other sister, Kendra, had her baby on March 11th, so now we'll have three cousins that have close birthdays.
 He thought it was wonderful.
Grandma Cable did a little FHE lesson about how we can all be Kings and Queens someday if we do what's right.  She made all the kids their very own crowns.  Little Amelia said, "I don't want to be a Queen, I'm a Princess!"  It was so classic.

 And don't forget Dallin....
Thanks for the fun night Grandma and Grandpa!
