Christmas 2013 will go down in the books as great!! We did many things in the month of December that helped us reflect on the birth of our Savior and serve others. We participated in our annual December Family Home Evenings with elderly or less active friends and used lessons from our book, "A Christ-centered Christmas". We enjoyed sharing our evenings with special people. We also visited the 1st annual Weber County creche display at the fair grounds! It was really wonderful because it started December off on the right foot. A lady in our ward was putting together blessing bags to give to the homeless shelter, so we helped out by having the kids earn "play" money by doing service around the house and then coming to Mom's "store" to buy items to donate to the blessing bags. Camille and I were able to help assemble the bags, which was a lot of fun!
For the Cable Family Christmas Party we went down to Temple Square to see the lights! We bundled everyone up and braved the cold and crowds. Kendra and Luke brought hot cocoa and donuts for everyone!

That night we headed to Duchesne for the Taylor Family Christmas party on Saturday. It was a late night, but I'm glad we made the trek that night because it snowed several inches over night and would have been treacherous. We acted out the annual Nativity, had a super delicious meal, and opened cousin presents.
Jared made these 4 mouth watering cheesecakes for dessert. Peanut Butter, Vanilla (New York), Chocolate, and Pumpkin. The were almost too pretty to eat. We even got to stay for Sunday and go to church with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a great time!
Then on Christmas Eve we decorated gingerbread houses (in the morning) and then it was off to G & G Homer's for their annual Christmas party. We acted out the Nativity again! Camille - Mary, Dallin - Shepherd, Mason - Wiseman, Garet - Donkey.
Jared built this awesome manger! It was perfect.
Little blue-eyed babe!
Next, home to open new jammies, read the account of Christ's birth in the Book of Mormon, and open stocking notes. What a cute bunch!
Christmas morning was a little crazy! Camille decided to wake up at 4:00 am and wake everyone else up (minus Paige). We told them they couldn't get up until 6:00, so they went back to bed (I don't think they went back to sleep) and were up at 6:00 right on the dot. It was a long day and Santa may get a note to wrap all the presents next year:)
Garet's favorite thing....his own pocket knife and mini leatherman.
Mason's favorite - a flashlight that plugs into the wall.
Dallin's - firetruck
Mason - also got this bean bag chair!
Camille - new electric toothbrush, fishing pole, boots, gloves, coat.
All the kids got new mud boots! Hooray! Garet carries his knife everywhere.
We went to Grandma & Pa Cable's house for brunch and to open cousin and Grandma presents. Grandma gave all the kids new games! Camille - Word on the Street, Garet - Uno Attack, Mason - Hands Down, Dallin - Don't Spill the Beans.
We even squeezed a game or two in.
The day after Christmas it's a tradition to go to Grandpa Homer's cabin and Snowmobile. It was a blast and we even got some ice skating in.
Garet is getting really good this year!
Some of my cousins...Colton, Brady, Kylie, Andrew, Scarlett, Reagan, and Jared.
Amelia, Mason and Scarlett playing in the cabin.
My Uncle Randy brought this mini snowmobile and the boys thought they were in heaven.
PHEWWWW!! That was a lot of fun squeezed into a few days:) And....there's more to come!
