12 years and counting....

Jared and I celebrated our 12th anniversary on August 10th!!  Wow, 12 years flew by in a flash.
We started out by going to our Pioneer Ward camp out, up by Monte Cristo, on Friday night.  We wore pioneer clothes, had a pioneer fireside, and went on a mini "trek" the next morning.  Along the way we learned about some of the different places the pioneers stopped on there journey.  It was amazing to remember and give thanks to the people who sacrificed so much and had such great faith.

Later that afternoon we got a babysitter and headed out on our road bikes.  We wanted to bike along the railway trail and see if we could connect to the legacy trail.  We told the babysitter we would be home by 8:00, so we only made it to South Layton (15 miles) and then had to turn around.  We took a different route home and stopped in Clinton at Costa Vida for a quick dinner.  We had a blast being together doing something that we both love.  We are anxious to do it again!  Then later that night my brother and sis-in-law, Jake and Kaylyn, came over for a round of Ticket to Ride.  We haven't played in months, so it was a good time:)
I feel so blessed and lucky to be married to my best friend.  He is the best husband and Dad ever!  We love to be together and raise our sweet children together.  I wouldn't want to make this journey with anyone else.
Happy Anniversary!

Garden Harvest

One rainy Saturday the kids built a fort on top of the swing set with the neighbor friends.  They played up there all day.  So fun!
The garden harvest begins... We had potatoes, corn, beans, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, and anaheim peppers (with cheese inside).  Wow, now that is a feast.  This dinner is a regular in the summer and we love it!!

 We love our garden!

Nat-soo-pah

We made the trek up to Idaho to visit a natural hot spring that my family has been going to since I was about 6 or 7 years old.  It is very warm water and a fun place for kids to explore.
My Grandma and Grandpa Homer and Uncle Randy and family (they have 4 girls about the same ages as our kids) came along.  We had such a great time.  I LOVED having Grandma Homer there with us.  She loves to hold babies and was Paige's personal nanny the entire trip.  I look up to that woman so much.  I don't even know how to describe her, but she is a gem.  She rocked Paige to sleep numerous times, took her for long walks through the campground, sat and rubbed her little chubby feet, and sang songs to her.  It was priceless for both of us:)  Grandma and Grandpa even swam with us and took a few trips down the slide!
And....Grandma Lisa is always lots of fun too.  She pulled all the little kids on this mat and swam her little heart out with grand-kids in tow constantly.  She is such a wonderful Grandma:)
Grandma and Elle, Abby, and Camille.
There is a little stream that runs right through the campground that is the same mineral water as the pool, so the kids would play in that until the pool opened at 12:00.  Owen and Mason.
Camille going off the high dive.  Grandma and Grandpa Cable, Aunt Carly, Aunt Collette, Uncle Luke, Aunt Kendra, and anyone else I missed were all Camille's personal swim instructor in the deep end.  She is getting pretty good at going off the diving board and then swimming to the side.  Thanks to everyone for helping her.  She loved the diving board and probably went off about 100 times.
 Paigey Poo!
 We had some yummy dinners!

Paige and the best Grandma in the world!  It was so nice to have so many hands to help.
 More Grandma Homer time!

He liked the slide, can you tell?
He liked Camille's old water wings even more:)
Mason was a slide maniac too!

 More play time.
