Happy 32 Jared

Jared turned 32 this year!  He had a very fun birthday weekend.  He was able to go on a much deserved Moab trip with his brother, Dad, Uncle, and Grandpa for 3 days. (Remember all those loads of biosolids?)  Jared and his brother rode their mountain bikes, and his Dad Uncle, and Grandpa rode 4-wheelers.  On his actual birthday, which was Sunday, we had a yummy dinner (Homemade Costa Vida and this beautiful Chocolate Covered Oreo Cookie Cake - that I made myself!)  We love you so much!
A few pictures from the Moab trip - aka Jared's favorite place on eath
They even had perfect weather!  What more could a guy ask for?

We tried to get a picture of the kids in their Easter outfits, and this is the best we got!  Mason didn't want to sit still for a second.
For General Conference we headed down to Lehi to be with Jared's family on Saturday.  We colored Easter Eggs in between sessions and had an Easter Egg hunt outside.
Grandpa and Garet making Camo eggs.
Camille made shiny eggs.
Mason had a great time finding eggs.
Camille found her Easter bag from Grandma.
Garet's Bag.
Garet got a giant puzzle
Mason got a hammer.
Camille got some hair bows and books that I don't have a picture of.  Grandma & Grandpa sure spoil us!
Trying to crochet while watching conference.  Good thing I have Serena to help me when I get stuck somewhere!
Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny visited us (just in the nick of time).  The Easter Bunny almost forgot until about 7:00 a.m. when he rushed down to the basement to retrieve the baskets and fill them up.  He'll be more on top of it next year!
Sunday we headed to the Cable's for some family time.  Jared and I and my sister, Kendra and her husband, Luke, were able to go to the Conference Center for the afternoon session.  It was amazing.  We had really great seats.  I learned a lot more from this session with no distractions!
We had another Easter egg hunt in Grandma and Grandpa's house and a yummy dinner.  Grandma Cable puts money in the eggs, so Camille and Garet were pretty excited about earning some more money to put in their piggy banks for our summer trip to Nat-Soo-Pah!  Thanks to all our generous parents!  We love you!

Update:  As of Monday night - our seed is planted.  Hip, Hip, Hooray.  Now we have to wait paitiently for those little grass seeds to sprout and keep the kids off in the mean time.  Wish us luck!

Biosolids, Swimming Lessons, and April Fools!

We are putting these "Biosolids" on our entire yard before we plant grass.  It is a lot of work.  So far we have done 10 loads!  Garet loves helping Daddy shovel it out.  It is so stinky and messy.  I can't wait until it's finished so I can get everything cleaned up!
My two Heroes.
Even Mason loves to shovel.

Swimming Lessons
Garet had a great time!

He did so well floating on his back and learning to put his face in the water.
Camille, she looks like a reindeer....maybe?
This was a great hair do to keep her hair out of her eyes.
She improved so much this year.  She is definitely my little swimmer now!

Mason was the best little guy ever!  He sat on my lap pretty much the entire time - 8 days, 40 min each!  He is so mellow....how did I get so lucky?

April Fools Dinner at Carly's House
My sister Carly invited us over for an April Fool's Dinner!  It was a blast.  She made blue jello for the drinks (The kids thought it was so funny!)

Cupcakes and Pie for dinner (Meatloaf with beet dyed mashed potatoes)

and fish sticks with dipping sauce and peas for dessert (wafer cookies covered with peanut butter and corn flakes with airhead peas and jam)
So Tasty!

I think April Fools is one of my top 3 favorite holidays!  It was so fun to tease the kids:)
