These are just random fall pictures of things we've been up to.....

Jared and the kids were such great helpers this year.  They helped me clean out my flowerbeds a week before I had the baby, so this is Mason with all the "stuff" in the back of the truck.

 We took a drive up to North Fork and had a dutch oven dinner and little hike to enjoy the fall weather.

 Just 3 days before I had Paige.  The kids were putting balloons in their shirts.  They thought it was hilarious that I looked like I had a balloon in my shirt.

 Jared's latest creation.....an apple press. A couple friends in the neighborhood built a press, so Jared "improved" the design and is making apple cider like a mad man.  I think he's up to about 80 gallons now.  We bought another freezer so we could store all the apple cider.  Of course, we've given some away and had a few gallons to drink:)  It is the best stuff you've ever tasted!  As for the apples you ask????  He drives around and asks people with apple trees if they are going to use their apples and then if not, he picks them.  It's quite surprising how many people don't want their apples.  He's probably picked about 20 - 30 bushels of apples.  He's pretty extreme and crazy, but it's what he likes to do, so I can't complain:)

 We had our first snow storm of the year and Mason was dying to go out and play.  He went out all by himself and made his very own snowball.  He was so proud of himself.

 Here are a "few" of the many bushels of apples!  The kids got to help for a little while until Garet cut his finger, and then we decided they couldn't chop apples anymore:(  So, Daddy had to do all the work.  Luckily a couple neighbor friends came over and helped him for a few hours and he gave them some juice.

 Grandma Cable has a Halloween party every year, so the kids got to dress up and go to Grandma and Grandpa's house for games, lunch, donuts, and the famous fish pond.

Camille is Pippi Longstocking and Garet is The Man in the Yellow Hat.

Mason and Paige share a birthday!  What a special day for Mason.

 Is it true we have 5 kids!!  I never thought the day would come.

The birth story:

Wednesday morning I woke up having contractions, but thought they would just go away like they had been.  We celebrated Mason's birthday in the morning before the kids went to school and Dad went to work.  He was so excited to get his very own legos and playdough.  The day was just like normal, but the contractions weren't going away.  They weren't very strong though.  Jared called and said, "I need to go to Logan for work this afternoon, do you want to go with me?"  Of course I thought, great, I need something to get my mind off of having the baby.  So we planned to leave around 3:00.  About 12:00 or so the contractions were getting closer and stronger and I realized that we were going to have the baby today.  So, I called Jared back and told him I didn't think we could go to Logan.  He kept saying, "Are you sure?"  I was a little hesitant, but thought we should stay.  Around 2:00 I told him he better come home, it was time to go.  He got home about 3:00 and we headed out the door around 3:30 to drop the kids off at Grandma's.  We got to the hospital about 4:00ish and when they checked me at 4:30 I was 7 cm dilated.  Yippee!!  We weren't too far from having our baby girl.  I was doing really well with the contractions, using my hypnobirthing techniques and Jared was such an awesome coach.  Then about 5:30 the Doc broke my water and I finished dilating through about 3 contractions.  I started pushing and she was born at 6:02p.m.  This was by far my easiest labor and delivery!!  Hypnobirthing was awesome.  It helped me stay focused and calm and remember that my body was meant to give birth and that it's not a scary thing.  It is so great to have her here safe and sound!  The kids are totally in love with her and so are we.  Hopefully adjusting to life with a new born will go smoothly for everyone.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed:)

Happy 4th Birthday Mason!

Today our sweet and spunky little Mason is 4 years old!  We love our little guy so much.  He was such a good baby and we always called him our "angel".  Then he turned two and turned into a little monster:)  He has been our hardest toddler with such a stubborn streak.  He is finally going to bed really good and sleeping well. (knock on wood)  We can't imagine life without this fun little boy in our family.  He loves fruits and veggies and is totally in love with the garden and all the things that grow in it.  He is our chicken lover too.  He loves to stay home with his mommy and play with Dallin.  He is the best toy player in the family and can entertain himself for a long time.  We sure love our Mason Man!!

Happy 9th Birthday Camille

Nine years ago today our lives were changed forever!!!  Our sweet little Millie was born after a long labor.  We were so excited to meet our special little girl.  We could not have imagined how much love we have for Camille and our sweet boys!  We are so glad she was the first - born with her spunky personality and independent nature she has been just what our family needs.  She is our reminder of our Logan college days and how we put all our trust in Heavenly Father in order to make it through that last year of college with a very small income.  Of course we were blessed tremendously with an internship and then job right after graduation.  We are forever grateful for the journey Camille has lead us on.  We love you more than you can ever know!!

1st annual Taylor Family Pumpkin Contest

This year Jason and Melissa organized the 1st Taylor Family Pumpkin growing contest!  The winning pumpkin was Grandpa Taylor's weighing in at 264 lbs.  Wow!  I think Camille is sitting on it.  The next biggest was Krista and Eric's pumpkin (the whitish one).  We got the award for the "Biggest Disappointment" because everyone thought Jared had a secret pumpkin stashed away, but we didn't!  We were trying to get the rest of our garden to grow:)  I got the award for the "Human Pumpkin"!  Ha-ha!  It was a lot of fun and we are already looking forward to next year's contest.

 Most of the kids and G & G Taylor.  Scott and Nancy (G Taylor's brother) also participated, so I think there were around 16 or so kids at Jason and Melissa's house.  It was pretty wild!

Uncle Nate brought his Candy Cannon and shot a whole bunch of candy in the back yard for the kids to pick up.  They loved it!  This is all of them looking at their stash!

 Dallin wants to be like the big kids and brush his own teeth.  He'll be 20 months old this week.

On Friday night Kendra and I took Camille and Elle to get pedicures for their birthdays this month! It was so much fun and we enjoyed ourselves too.  Then we went to Costa Vida for dinner.  We sure love our sweet girls.  They are growing up so fast.  

 Sunday during conference the Taylor family headed up to our house so we could celebrate Camille, Mason, and Luke's birthday.  Taylor made Camille a cute little friendship necklace.  Such sweet cousins.

 The birthday kids - Mason - 4, Camille - 9, and Luke - 2 and next year baby Paige will join the October birthday crew!

Cabin Fun!

We went up to my Grandma and Grandpa Homer's cabin last Friday night and Saturday.  We had a great time enjoying the fall colors and seeing family.  Every year in the fall they have a wood cutting day at the cabin to stock up on wood for the coming winter.  It's mainly just a fun tradition because the cabin doesn't get used too often.  What boy doesn't want to bring out the chain saws and axes?
