Rocket Static Fire, Swimming lessons, Birthday, Field trip, Kindy 500, and Girls weekend

ATK had a static fire of one of their rockets a couple weeks ago.  It was pretty impressive.  We took the kids out of school for the day and stopped at the Golden Spike monument afterwards. 

 At the Golden Spike we took a drive on one of the old railroad grades and found this cool arch.  It is called Chinese Arch because of all the Chinese immigrants who helped build the railroad.

 I put Mason and Dallin in swimming lessons.  Mason loved it and kept telling me he wanted to have swimming lessons everyday all year long. He is much more confident in the water now:)

 Dallin was the complete opposite.  He did not like swimming lessons.  He isn't scared of the water, but did not like the teacher or the other kids in the class.  He sat on the side playing in the water puddles.  Jared came one day and he got in with his teacher.  I had to leave Paige home one day and get in the water with him.  He did great that day.  He is just a stubborn little guy:)

I got to go on a field trip with Camille!  We went to the Environmental Center in Liberty, near Wolf Mountain.  (I went their when I was in Jr. High)  It was a lot of fun!  This is her good friend Olivia.

 I had to keep coaxing them up the hill.  It was pretty steep.  We hiked to an avalanche track and learned about avalanche beacons and how to use them.  The kids had to find the buried beacons in the snow.

 Garet celebrated his 9th bday.  He was a lucky boy and got to go to Moab with Jared on a quick Friday/Saturday trip.  They mountain biked and dirt biked and had a great time.  While they were gone, Camille made this cake for him!

 The night before his bday we went to the Fashion Place Mall and looked at the Lego display.  They have the Capitol Building, White House, Liberty Bell, Statue of Liberty, Lincoln Memorial, and Washington Memorial all made of Legos.  It was pretty impressive.

 His #2 cake.  He requested an Oreo ice cream cake.  It was delicious.

Mason had his Kindergarten program.  They sang patriotic songs for the parents and then paraded their cardboard cars around the school.  Afterwards, they drove their cars to different stations and learned about patriotic things.  It was a fun day for him.

 Paige got really sick with the stomach flu and I thought she was never going to feel better.  Finally after throwing up for 28 hours she started perking up again.  We love to see that smile!  She still has diarrhea, but hopefully she's on the mend.

I had a girls weekend with my sisters and mom!  We shopped and shopped, ate yummy food, got a pedicure, talked, and talked and talked some more.  We stayed at my Mom's house on Friday night and stayed up way to late and then we went to Station Park on Saturday.  It was so fun.  I loved having a break from real life.  I got some new clothes and didn't have to put my kids to bed for 2 nights in a row!  Lucky!

Dallin 4 year old Birthday!

Dallin was so cute on his Birthday this year.  He wanted Crepes for breakfast....and then we opened presents.  We biked Mason to school because it was such a nice day and he had an hour cat nap in the bike trailer.  Then it was Lasagna for dinner and cake and ice cream.  He requested a jelly bean cake, so this is what you get.  He helped me decorate it!

He wanted a plug in flashlight and mike and ike's for his birthday!  Easy!  I love it!  We sure love this little boy.  He is so sweet and smiley.  He has his whiny, clinging, I want my Mommy moments, but he is a pretty great kid.  We love you Dallby boy!

 That weekend we went up to Grandpa Homer's cabin to spend time with my cousin and her family who live far away!  We hoped to go snowmobiling, but it was a muddy mess instead.  We still found plenty of fun things to do.  Fishing, shooting, hiking, exploring, and wrestling on mattress in the cabin.  The kids LOVED jumping on them and making forts.  It was chaos putting 10 kids to bed, but we did it and had a good talk until the wee hours of the morning.

 The next day Grandma and Grandpa, Randy and Angie, and a bunch of other cousins came up to spend the day.  We had a great time.

 Garet is a dead "left eye" shooter.  Mason's a pretty good shot too.

 I left Paige and Dallin in the car during the shooting so they wouldn't get all muddy and they had a great time playing and eating lots of fruit leather.

 One warm Sunday afternoon we took a drive out to Antelope Island to see the buffalo.  The kids thought they were pretty cool.  It was such a beautiful evening. 

 Sunday afternoons are often spent playing with Daddy's "cool" Lego's.  They were having a great time and I loved listening to them talk the Lego talk.

 Camille did buns in Paige's hair one Sunday, and this is what happened when we took them out!  Curly Q.

 I ventured out with the three littles and took them to the Zoo on free Zoo day last week.  We had a great time and the animals were so active.  It was a lot of fun to watch them.  I didn't get hardly any pictures because I was by myself.  Mason loved the Gorillas, Dallin loved the Sea lions, Paige loved the Polar Bear, and I thought the Orangutan was pretty cool.
