We started out the Christmas celebrations by going to Camille's first school choir concert! Now that she is in third grade she could be in the choir. They practice twice a week before school and she absolutely loves it! We've been listening to her sing Christmas songs since the beginning of October.
She is on the second row from the top on the end.
We had our Cable Family Christmas Party and Taylor Family Christmas Party on the same day! It was double the fun:) We went up to Bailey's Elk Farm for a horse drawn sleigh ride and then headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for yummy food and fun.
Mason waiting patiently to go on the sleigh.
Cousin Addy and Dallin on one of the horses.
Elle, Aunt Kaydi, and Camille. They LOVE her so much! We are so glad she lives closer for now.
The Taylor Family Christmas party was at Aunt Terra and Uncle Nate's house. We acted out the Nativity, exchanged cousin presents and ate a tasty ham and cheesy potato lunch!
Hailee - angel, Me - Shepherd, Taylor - Mary, Paige - Baby Jesus, Garet - Joseph, Luke - Shepherd, Camille - Wise "woman"
Aunt Terra made all of these costumes/props. She is so talented!
Ava - Star
Now on to Christmas Eve....with the Homer clan. For as long as I can remember we would get together with the Homer's on Christmas Eve and have a dinner, act out the Nativity, and Santa would come; so it is really fun to see the next generation participate in the same things that we did. Garet got to be Joseph again (what a good sport!, DeLynne's triplets were the wisemen, and we had a host of Shepherds and Angels!
Dallin and Mason did not want to dress up, but they did want to come up on the stage:) We're keeping our fingers crossed for next year.
Camille was such a good lead angel!
Christmas Eve PJ's!
Dallin loved his monkey jammies! He thought it was the best thing ever and cried when he had to get dressed the next day.
Christmas morning! Paige woke up to eat at 6:30, so Jared and I got up and waited for the kids to wake up. Finally at 7:30 we went and woke them up because we were so excited. We thought for sure the would be up super early!!
This is what little Paige got from Santa.
Camille's stash... a new sewing machine/book, American girls doll clothes (she got the doll last Christmas), clothes, skip - it, book, sewing kit, beef jerky.....and we got walkie talkies as a family gift, which she loved!
Garet was a good boy too....Legos with tackle box to keep them in, new coat & gloves, skip-bo, book, clothes.
Mason is too funny with his cheesy grins lately.....Scooter, tractor, clothes, books, wooden airplane, bubble bath.
Dallin boy was the most excited about his stuffed tiger, and flashlight tractor.
For New Year's we went out to Duchesne (or in other words, to the deep freeze). It gets so cold there. One morning it was -10. Grandpa Davies has a couple ponds on his farm so we brought the iceskates and did a little skating. We couldn't get the camera to work because it was so cold, so when I finally did get it to work we were leaving. We had a good time though. Camille's getting to be quite the little skater. At least the sun was shining so it didn't feel quite as cold.
Some of Jared's cousins and there kids came and skated/sledded with us.
This has nothing to do with Christmas, but I had to get a picture of Paige in the tubby! She is such a sweet little thing. We love her to pieces.
