Presenting....

The newest addition to the Taylor family household......
We are sooooo excited to have the drama of car hunting over!!!  Hallelujah!
It came to us all the way from Amherst, Ohio.  It's a long, boring story that you'll have to ask Jared about:)

It's done!!!

No, not the new car....I wish, but Camille's new room!  Yippee.  They laid the carpet on Friday and we moved her in yesterday.  She was so excited.  Her friend Riley came over to help her move all her "stuff" downstairs.  Jared still has to hang the doors, but it is definitely livable.  Now I can officially get ready for the new baby.
She couldn't wait to come home from school and see the new carpet!

We had some water leak in the other bedroom we are finishing the week after Christmas, so we have to postpone that room until the builder can get it fixed.  Thank goodness we didn't have carpet in that room yet!

Our "EVENTFUL" Holiday!

We had preschool at our house the week before Christmas and we acted out the nativity.  The kids were so cute.  L-R: Grace, Austyn, Libby, Preston, and Garet.  The other two kids were sick.
For our ward Christmas breakfast the primary performed a nativity for everyone.  It was so magical.  Getting 100+ kids to cooperate and sing songs was a huge feat I'm sure.  Camille's class dressed up as shepherds and Garet's class was sheep.  It was fun for them.
Christmas morning magic!  Mason was so excited about his new drill he didn't even want to open any presents!
Camille and her cat house!  Yes, Santa decided to bring her two kitties for Christmas!  She was so thrilled.  He left a letter by her things saying he had to leave the kitties out in the garage.  She said, "Real kitties"!  We ran out to the garage to see them.  This is a picture of her talking on the phone to Grandma Taylor about the kitties.  But, the real eventful part of our Christmas comes when we lost the kitties just a couple hours later.  Yes.....it's true.  The kitties climbed up under the truck and we couldn't find them.  So, after looking and searching, we decided they must have hidden somewhere in the garage and took off to go visit Grandma and Grandpa Cable.  When we arrived home a few hours later we still couldn't find them.  We think they must have jumped out somewhere.  Camille and Jared rode around the neighborhood and we searched everywhere.  She was heartbroken!  But, we had a good lesson about disappointments in life.  She was so glad that she still had her Baby Alive from Santa.

Garet and his remote control jeep!  He was so excited!  He got sick during the night with his horrible asthmatic cough and we were up half the night, so he was pretty worn out after the eventful morning.  All the kids got sick with a cold, pink eye, and cough the entire Christmas break, so we had to cancel our trip to Duchesne for New Years!  Boo-hoo!

Santa brought the kids this wiggle board.  They think it's pretty fun!

On Christmas Eve we headed down to Lindon to pick up the vehicle we were going to buy and ended up not getting it because of some mechanical problems.  So, we hung out at Jason and Melissa's house until it was time to go to Grandma & Grandpa Homer's Christmas party.  These are pictures of the evening.
Grandma & Pa Cable with Elle, Aunt Kaydi, Camille, Isaac, Garet, and Owen.
Acting out the nativity.  Garet and Mason decided they had had enough of the costume.  Isaac was sure a cutie pie!

 Isaac and Garet.
Sweet little Mason didn't know quite what to think.

So, we still don't have a vehicle, much to our dismay, and now Jared is out of town for the next week, which I guess is a good thing for a one car family!  Wish us luck!
I think the Christmas of 2010 will be named the year we lost the kitties and still didn't have a car!  Jared says we should just start telling people that we are only going to have one car:)  Seriously!

On a positive note...I found some 6 month old kitties for free on KSL and we went and picked them up the Monday after Christmas.  Camille named her Smokie because she is gray.  So far she is still in the garage!  I'm beginning to think we aren't meant to have cats at our house.
We are so grateful to have each other and can't wait to welcome our new addition to our family in about 6 weeks!  We'll keep you posted.
