Jared ran the Ogden Marathon last Saturday!! Last year he told me he wanted to do it. I was a little skeptical, but he DID IT! I thought their was no way with a new baby, scouts, yard, family, hobbies, etc, etc. that he would find the time to train, but he did it. Lots of early mornings, runs home from work, and long Saturday runs paid off. We are both relieved that it is done.
It was a cold, rainy day, which didn't help, but was probably better than running in 80 or 90 degree weather.
His parents, brother and sis-in-law, her parents, my parents, and all of us were there to cheer him on. It was very emotional for all of us!

Jason and Garet headed down the road to watch for Dad so Garet came running in with him. That's when I started getting really teary-eyed. Jared said he was getting choked up and it was hard to breath:)

He was a little disappointed with his time. He was hoping for a 3:15 but he got a 3:28, which is super for a first timer:) I am so proud of him.
