Dallin....

Life is revolving around our new little boy!  My sister, Collette, came up and took some pictures for me on his 2 week birthday.  She sent me a few sneak peeks!  They turned out so cute!  I can't wait to see the rest:)

And a few of my own pictures...

 Best brothers forever!

Baby Story.....

We are slowly adjusting to life with a newborn again!  So far he has been pretty mellow.  We've only had one rough night (we're crossing our fingers!).  Dallin is as sweet as can be and we can't get enough of the little guy.

This is mostly for my record keeping purposes....but here is the baby story:

I had a doctors appointment on Thursday (10th) morning at 11:00 a.m.  I was dilated to a three and had been having contractions on and off all night and morning.  Due to my history (I have to have a cerclage put on my cervix), the Dr. wanted me to go downstairs so they could monitor me.  He thought I was going to have the baby soon.  I tried to talk him out of it thinking I could just go to my Mom's house and hang out there for a while, but he insisted I go downstairs.  So, I went.  They hooked me up to the monitor and sure enough I was contracting every 3 minutes or so.  And....it just so happened that my favorite nurse - the one who delivered Garet - was working and was my nurse!!  So, I decided it would probably be ok to have the baby today.  I paced the halls for 45 minutes or so to see if I was progressing.  Sure enough...4cm.  I called my Mom who had my two boys and told her I was staying and we were going to have a baby TODAY!  I called Jared and told him to go home and get the stuff, get Camille out of school, drop her off at my Mom's  and then come on over.   He was pretty shocked I was at the hospital.  Right after I got off the phone with him, the nurse told me Dr. Marriott was going to come break my water to get things rolling.  I was a little panicked because I usually progress really fast after my water is broken.  I called Jared back and told him to come straight to the hospital.  He is my "doula" and I need him during this time!!!  He arrived about 2:00 p.m.  The Dr. broke my water at 2:30 and then things got serious and my fav nurse and Jared were awesome to help me with different techniques through the hard contractions.  Good thing the Dr. is right upstairs because I went from a 7 to a 10 in a matter of a few minutes and he was rushing down to deliver the baby.  Three contractions later and Dallin was born at 4:37 p.m.  This is the third time I've delivered un-medicated and it doesn't get any easier.  I always say I don't think I'll ever do that again, but somehow I forget and find myself in the same painful predicament:)  The recovery is awesome though.  I think I'll have an epidural next time, if there is a next time!!!
Camille didn't want us to tell her what the baby was on the phone, she wanted to come to the hospital and see for herself.  So, when she came in the room she saw the little pink and blue striped hat that the hospital puts on the babies and said, "The hat is pink!"  I said, "Well, it's blue too."  Then she just kind of giggled and we said, "It's a boy!"  As soon as she saw his cute little face and head of hair she was in love with him.  She will be a fantastic sister to those three little trouble making brothers:)  Good thing she has some close girl cousins to do girl things with.

Now, on to the pictures!

Proud big sister!
Everyone has to check out his fingers and toes.
Garet didn't want to hold Dallin when they came to visit that night, but the next day he was ready!  Oh, what a sweet big brother.  He kept saying, "He's so warm!"
 My most precious treasures.
Daddy and Dallin ready to come home.  Dallin was pretty mad because they just finished the circumcision, poor boy.
 In the car seat.
My first nap in my crib.  Cute little bundle.

First sponge bath.  Everyone had to see what was going on.
 We love our little Dallin.

The Votes are in.....

As many of you know, ok most all of you, we decided not to find out what we are having for Baby #4!  So, the other night we took a vote to see what everyone thought.......

Camille (she wrote this in her journal):  I think my mom's baby is a boy, but I really, really want it to be a girl.  I think the baby will come on February 17th.

Garet:  It's a boy.  Valentines' Day, of course!

Mason:  Girl baby (some days) and Boy baby other days!

Jared:  Boy.  February 19th, which is my due date.  I sure hope he's not right!

Me:  Boy, although I, like Camille, would be thrilled to have another girl:)  Nonetheless it will be an exciting day.  February 13th because then we would have two kids born on the 17th (October & March)  and two kids born on the 13th (February and October).  It would be a really cool coincidence.  I can make it seven more days right?

Anyone else care to take a guess.............

First Piano Recital! Fun in Duchesne!

Camille had her very first piano recital last week.  She is one of my students and is doing so well.  I am so proud of her and her dedication!  I combined my recital with a good friend since both of us only have 5 students.  It worked out very well.  Jared missed the beginning  of her introducing her songs.  She played "Yankee Doodle"  and "The Trumpet Song".

We sure love our sweet Millie Girl!

We headed to Duchesne for the weekend since we'll be having a new baby soon.  We hadn't been out since Thanksgiving, so it was definitely time for a visit to the fresh air!
The kids had a great time playing on the snow, which was more like ice.
Jared got Lightning to pull the sled and the kids had a blast!

The snow was pretty hard.  They got 3 feet of snow with the big storm the week after Christmas and haven't had any since, so it's really icee and hard packed.  Good thing kids don't care about that!!  It was a bumpy ride.

Even Mason likes to ride the horse!

Thanks for letting us come spend the weekend with you!  We had a great time!
